Heirloom Woods maintains no stock of ready made cradles. Each one is made to meet the customer's requirements in size, style, wood, and finish, Further, the price of wood is dynamic and is very dependant on the supply and demand principle. This being the case it would be impossible to give a list of prices saying that such and such a cradle style will cost "X" number of dollars.

A single baby cradle, either swinging or gliding type, is designed to accept a standard 14" X 33" cradle pad. Pads can be found at

or by doing an internet search on the key words "cradle pad".

Since the cost of materials involved in making you cradle is very dynamic it would be impossible to give a firm price quote here. This is especially true of the prices of different species of woods.

However, and to supply an idea of what costs may be a recent quote (2/10/06) produced  prices ranging from a high of $822.00 for FAS mahogany to a low of $720.00 for white birch. It should be noted that these prices are up considerably from cost of the same species a year ago. I imagine the cost of fuel has contributed a great deal to the unusually high increases.

I have all my cradles professionally packed and shipped and the costs there also vary a great deal depending on packaging requirements and shipping method, truck, ups/fed ex, etc. Again I can only provide an example. One of the new knock down design twins cradle shipped from my shop to Seattle Wa. For $211.00, several months ago a dovetailed body cradle shipped from the shop to the mid west for around $275.00.
